It appears that Yahoo is in the process of updating. My soccer site’s pages have jumped from 37 to 197, which means it has finally indexed my entire site. However, the SERP’s are down for the major keywords I use such as soccer tournament, soccer tournaments, and youth soccer tournaments. We used to be in the top 10 for those keywords now we are in the 30’s. The individual states still seem to be ranking in the top 10.

The results of a soccer tournament search do not seem to be as relevant as they used to. Some of the sites listed only have a reference or two about tournaments, where as that is all we are. Many of the sites that are now above us are older and have more backlinks. I wonder if their algorhythm is now placing more importance on age now?

My Norwin Directory is still stuck at one page listed with very little traffic. I have previously hot linked to a few of the internal pages in the last week, but no change as of yet. I noticed around the 10th that when I deep linked to soccer sites they were not picked up as quickly as they were in the past so I wonder if maybe Yahoo was ramping up for this update.

According to Yahoo, this update is not done. Hopefully we will rebound in the SERPS.
